Community Housing Development

Our team were commissioned to provide a rainwater harvesting system to Cullross who were looking to make their latest project more environmentally friendly for the surrounding community. Comprising of both one- and two-bedroom affordable homes, the site required a solution which was robust enough to provide a safe, sustainable water supply to tenants all year round. The system also needed to reduce maintenance costs for the property management team. 

Having understood Cullross’s requirements, our estimating team recommended that our combi rainwater harvesting system was an ideal water reuse solution for the site. Our combi rainwater harvesting system offered Cullross ease of installation and reduced maintenance requirements due to internal components being centrally located in one unit. Our estimators sized the most efficient system to meet a full year-round occupancy of 27 tenants. 

Since the system was commissioned, the system has successfully provided tenants with a sustainable water supply for toilet flushing and irrigation for the communal garden area. 

Upon returning for our regular maintenance visit we found the system to be running at 91% efficiency, using rainwater for only 9% of its supply.
